To help your pitcher’s breaking pitches move more have them feel their finger pads when they grip the ball the same way they feel them when they release the pitch. Too often pitchers don’t feel their pads until they are actually releasing the ball, which is too late. Instead, ask your pitcher to feel the same pressure on her grip that she feels when she releases the pitch and see if it helps her pitches break more and more consistently.
