To help your catcher be able to throw quicker after she’s blocked a ball in the dirt, have her lift up her throwing-side knee instead of using her hands to raise her entire body off the ground. A catcher can throw from their knees as long as their throwing-side knee is off the ground. Add this to blocking practice to help your catchers complete this important skill.
